OMLOX is the world's first open location standard designed to implement flexible real-time location solutions for elements from a variety of manufacturers without any project planning. The word "omlox" is derived from the Latin words "omni" = omnipresence and "locus" = location. omlox is part of Profibus & Profinet International. omlox defines the interface between the omlox core area and the omlox center: using these technologies, UWB (ultra-wideband) based devices from different manufacturers can be located within a positioning area, and the location information of complementary positioning technologies can be comprehensively mapped.
